ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board, <br />by a 3-1 vote (Commissioner Eggert being absent <br />and Commissioner Ginn opposed), appointed Judy <br />Jones to fill the At -Large position on the Children's <br />Services Network Nominating Committee. <br />13.A.1. CHAIRMAN TIPPIN - ANNUAL EMPLOYMENT <br />EVALUATION - COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />CHANDLER AND COUNTY ATTORNEY VITUNAC <br />Chairman Tippin announced that he had interviewed all the Commissioners with <br />regard to the annual evaluation of County Administrator James Chandler and was pleased <br />to report they all approved his services for another year. He expressed the Board's <br />appreciation for Mr. Chandler's efforts and noted that he had passed again with flying colors. <br />He recommended a salary increase of 41/6, retroactive to October 1'. 1998. <br />Commissioner Adams then recommended that County Attorney Charles Vitunac's <br />services also receive an annual evaluation. <br />ON MOTION by Chairman Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board, by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent), unanimously <br />renewed County Administrator Chandler's contract <br />for another year and approved an increase in salary <br />of 4%, retroactive to October 1, 1998. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board, <br />by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Eggert being absent), <br />unanimously approved an annual evaluation for the <br />County Attorney. <br />OCTOBER 27, 1998 <br />-53- mof IN <br />
