ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (3-0, <br />Commissioner Adams and Commissioner Eggert absent) <br />approved Work Authorization/Amendment No. 5 with Carter <br />Associates, Inc. in the amount of $34,150, as recommended in <br />the Memorandum. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 5 IS ON FILE <br />IN TBE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />13.A.1. SURETY BONDS NOT REQUIRED FOR COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 28, 1998: <br />To: Board of County Commissioners <br />From: Alice E. White, Executive Aide <br />Date: October 28, 1998 <br />Subject: Surety Bonds for County Commissioners <br />The Secretary of State has asked for a certified copy of the Board of County <br />Commissioners' motion stating that, under the current legislation, the Board <br />will not require surety bonds for itself. No such motion was made on <br />September 1, 1998 when this was discussed by the Board. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Make a motion stating that, under the current legislation, the Board will not <br />require surety bonds for itself. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously (3-0, <br />Commissioner Adams and Commissioner Eggert absent) <br />determined that the Board of County Commissioners do not <br />require and shall not obtain surety bonds. <br />November 3, 1998 <br />41 <br />800K. 101 o'n <br />
