LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION MATTERS <br />Chairman Tippin asked the Commissioners to propose matters to be presented to the <br />Legislative Delegation. <br />Commissioner Adams especially wanted some legislative support for channeliza Ron <br />through the Intracoastal Waterway Johnson Seagrass beds. Boats are now going in all <br />directions over the flats and tearing up the beds. She felt that State funding of the <br />approximately $150,000 which will be needed for mitigation should be taken to the <br />legislative delegation. <br />CONSENSUS was reached to have Commissioner Adams make a presentation to the <br />delegation. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board <br />unanimously approved a request to the legislative <br />delegation meeting asking for legislative support for <br />the State to fund a channelization effort through the <br />Johnson Seagrass beds from the Intracoastal <br />Waterway to Sebastian Inlet and support for <br />legislative issues that have been taken before the <br />delegation in the past. <br />13.A.2. SWEARING IN CITIZENS AT BOARD MEETINGS <br />Chairman Tippin requested that staff set up a workshop at a future date to formalize <br />the procedures and circumstances under which citizens should be administered an oath. <br />13.E.
