Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Jeffrey R. Tabar, <br />Coastal Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Consultant Selection - Professional <br />Engineering Services - Beach Preservation Plan <br />- Project Feasibility Study <br />DATE: November 16, 1998 <br />The consultant selection committee, consisting of Jeff Tabar, <br />Coastal Engineer, Ratby Fitzpatrick, Sebastian Inlet District, and <br />Jim Davis, Public Works Director, interviewed four coastal <br />engineering firms on November 6t', for the purpose of consultant <br />ranking of the Beach Preservation Project Feasibility Study. <br />After considering the selection criteria published in the RFP, the <br />committee recommends the following prioritized short-listed: <br />1) Applied Technology & Management <br />2) Coastal Planning & Engineering, <br />3) Humiston & Moore Engineering <br />4) Olsen Associates, Inc. <br />Staff recommends approval of the above prioritized short-list and <br />authorization to proceed with contract negotiation with the first <br />ranked firm, Applied Technology & Management, Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved the <br />prioritized short-list as set forth in the memorandum and <br />authorized staff to proceed with contract negotiations with the <br />first ranked firm, Applied Technology & Management, Inc., as <br />recommended in the Memorandum. <br />November 24, 1998 <br />15 <br />BOOK 107 ME619 <br />
