• <br />0 <br />On October 7, 1997, the Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with Avatar <br />Utility Services, Inc., for the supply of water meter reading services. (Please reference the <br />attached copy of agreement) <br />As per section 5.0 of Exhibit I-5.2 "Price adjustments will be based on prevailing labor and <br />material costs. The contact may be adjusted yearly by a maximum of 3% upon approval <br />by the County." Avatar Utility Services, Inc., has amended the unit price for meter reading <br />services from .515 to .522 (an increase of 1.4%). The County will be performing turn-off, lock <br />and turn -on services. This agreement is to remain in effect through September 30, 1999. <br />4 11110 3/13IIA-0:10 • _ 6 <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approved the amended unit price as presented and authorize staff to renew the <br />contract with Avatar Utility Services, Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved the <br />amended unit price as presented and authorized staff to renew <br />the contract with Avatar Utility Services, Inc. to remain in effect <br />through September 30, 1999, as recommended in the <br />Memorandum. <br />ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12.
