RESOLUTIONS 98-137AND 98-138 - ACCEPTING RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />DEDICATIONAND CANCELING TAXES ONACQUIRED PROPERTY - <br />GEORGE A AND SARITA R JOHNSTON <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 4, 1998: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Nancy H. Mossali - Legal Assistant UUAt ' L. ,AtK .Q.vl.' <br />DATE: December 4, 1998 J <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions Accepting Right -Of -Way Dedication and Purchase and <br />Cancelling Taxes on Acquired Property <br />Resolutions have been prepared for the purpose of accepting a right-of-way <br />dedication and purchase, and cancelling any delinquent or current taxes which <br />may exist on the following properties acquired by Indian River County for public <br />purpose: <br />1. 13th Street, S.W. right-of-way dedicated by George D. Johnston, Jr. and <br />Sarita B. Johnston, his wife, which property is fully described in that <br />Warranty Deed recorded in Official Record Book 1243, Pages 0110-0111, <br />Public Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />2. 13th Street, S.W. right-of-way purchased from George D. Johnston, Jr. <br />and Sarita B. Johnston, his wife, which property is fully described in that <br />Warranty Deed recorded in Official Recons book 1243, Pages 0108-0109, <br />Public Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolutions accepting the right-of-way dedication and purchase, and cancelling <br />certain taxes upon publicly owned lands, and the Clerk to send a certified copy <br />of each Resolution to the Tax Collector so that any delinquent or current taxes <br />can be cancelled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 98-137 accepting <br />a right-of-way purchase and cancelling certain taxes <br />upon publicly owned lands, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes (131' Street SW R/W - <br />George D. Johnston, Jr. and Sarita B. Johnston). <br />DECEMBER 15, 1998 <br />
