PREST-RETROACTIVEAPPROVAL OFPROCLAMATION <br />HONORING HIS ENTREPRENEURSHIPAND FOR BEING ANADVOCATE <br />FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH <br />The Chairman read the following Proclamation: <br />PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING JOHN M. PREST <br />FOR HIS ENTREPRENEURSHIP <br />AND FOR BEING AN ADVOCATE <br />FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH <br />WHEREAS, John M. Prest has personified the qualities of entrepreneurship over the pa <br />50 years; and <br />WHEREAS, he served with distinction in the Korean war from 1946 until 1951; and <br />WHEREAS, John, in his unassuming way, has championed the cause of underprivileged <br />youth, believing that the success of the Country for years to come depends on what is done for the <br />children at the present; and <br />WHEREAS, John M. Prest is Chairman of the Academy of Entrepreneurship in Vero <br />Beach, helping the youth of our community learn the important benefits of free enterprise; and <br />WHEREAS, John M. Prest has been involved in the Vero Beach Rotary Club since 1990, <br />and will be given the distinction of being the first Honorary Club President of Rotary International: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that John M. Prest be given <br />well deserved recognition for the outstanding service he has given to his community and many <br />young people.
