INC. - <br />CHANGE ORDER NO.3 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 7, 1998: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County <br />yCommissioners <br />THROUGH: Douglas Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />FROM: Nathan McCollum, Emergency Management Coordinator <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: December 7, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: Change Order No. 3 - Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System Contract Between Indian River County <br />And Logistic Systems, Inc. <br />On July 15, 1997, the Board of County Commissioners approved and awarded a contract in the amount of $358.950 with <br />Logistic Systems, Inc., to provide a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system for the 9-1-1 Communications Center. <br />Through negotiations and upgraded technology, the County can reduce the cost of the 1997 contract and save $42,050.00. <br />As Change Order #3 indicates. the PST/LogiSYS Message Switch has been eliminated because of the Cerulean Switch. <br />Although interfaces, upgraded switches and programming tasks will be necessary, the overall savings remains $42.050.00. <br />Staff recommends approval of Change Order //3 between Indian River County and Logistic Systems Inc. <br />Commissioner Ginn questioned whether the system is Y2K compliant, and Emergency <br />Services Director Doug Wright noted that his department is contacting all vendors asking for <br />a letter stating that they are Y2K compliant. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board <br />unanimously approved Change Order #3 with <br />Logistic Systems, Inc., as recommended by staff. <br />CHANGE ORDER IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />DECEMBER 15, 1998 <br />-59- BOOK �U °`; Jul <br />
