Macht for Chairman of the Board of County <br />Commissioners for 1999. <br />Commissioner Tippin passed the gavel to Chairman Macht, who assumed the chair. <br />3.B. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN <br />The Chairman opened the floor to nominations for Vice Chairman of the Board of <br />County Commissioners for 1999. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge NOMINATED <br />Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin. <br />There were no other nominations. <br />Commissioner Ginn asked whether it were the intent of the Board to bypass District <br />5 in the rotation as it was her understanding that the Chair moves through rotation. <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac noted that there is no official policy. The Chair and <br />Vice Chair are elected strictly by motion of the Board. <br />Commissioner Ginn just wanted to be certain that District 5 was not being ignored. <br />The Chairman directed the Clerk to cast a <br />UNANIMOUS BALLOT for Commissioner Adams <br />as Vice Chairman of the Board of County <br />Commissioners for 1999. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Macht requested the following additions and changes to today's Agenda: <br />1. Add Item 13.B., motion of appreciation to Chairman John Tippin. <br />2.
