Design/Build Contract for r Replacement of CR512 Bridges over <br />Park Lateral Canal and Lateral "U" Canal - Phase I - ZEP <br />Construction, Inc. <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of February 3, 1999: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Replacement of CR512 Bridges over Park <br />Lateral "U" Canal - Design/Build Contract <br />DATE: February 3, 1999 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Lateral Canal and <br />As authorized by the Board of County Commissioner on October 7, <br />1998, staff has prepared and negotiated the attached Design/Build <br />Contract between the County and Zep Construction. The Contract <br />scope -of -work is separated into two phases. Phase I is a <br />Preliminary Site Development Phase which includes preparation of a <br />preliminary design report. This report will define the type of <br />bridges to be designed and constructed, preliminary soils <br />investigations, and the submittal of a Guaranteed Maximum Price for <br />final design, permitting, and construction of both bridges. The <br />Phase I negotiated fee to the Design/Builder is $40,600 for both <br />bridges.
