BOOK 108 FADE 400 <br />FORMATION OFA TREASURE COAST SPORTS ORGANIZATION <br />PURPOSE: <br />• Assist in the Economic Development of the Treasure Coast by attracting State, National <br />and International Sporting Events. <br />• Facilitate Communications and Co-operation of the Communities on the Treasure Coast <br />in the Development of Sports Programs and Physical Fitness for all Ages. <br />• Create Sports Development Partnerships with. Businesses, Schools, Recreation <br />Departments, and Organizations. <br />• Promote the Development of Sports Programs for Children and Young Adults that <br />Encourage Fundamental Skills, Academics, and Specifically Build Self -Esteem and <br />Sportsmanship. <br />• Support Community Sports Events on the Treasure Coast. <br />• Promote a Sports Environment that the Treasure Coast Community will Support and <br />Enjoy. <br />FORMATION OFA TREASURE COAST SPORTS ORGANIZATION <br />OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS: <br />• Enlist the Support of County and Local Agencies in the Development of Physical Fitness Programs <br />and Amateur Athletic Competitions. <br />• Promote and Attract Sporting Events for the Treasure Coast. <br />• Promote and Develop a Program of Statewide Amateur Athletic Competition. <br />• Promote National and International Amateur Athletic Competition. <br />• Promote the Development of Recreational Athletic Opportunities for all Ages. <br />• Create -an Olympic Development Center. <br />• Support Programs for Schools that Develop Physical Fitness and Sports Activities for Students. <br />• Support College, High School and Professional Athletics. <br />• Publish a Tri -County Sports Events Calendar. <br />FEBRUARY 16, 1999 <br />-66- <br />
