Davis, P.E., Public Works Direct <br />AND <br />Christopher J. Kafer, Jr., P.E., County Engin <br />FROM: Michelle A. Gentile, CET, Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions to Provide for the Paving and Drainage Improvements to and set Public <br />Hearing date for: <br />lar STREET BETWEEN 167H AVENUE AND 18TH AVENUE <br />IRC PROJECT NO. 9721 <br />DATE: February 18, 1999 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County Public Works Department has received a petition for a public improvement assessment <br />for road paving and drainage improvements for the following: <br />IsT STREET BETWEEN 16TH AVENUE AND 18TH AVENUE <br />The petition was signed by owners of sic of the eight properties in the proposed benefitted area. This <br />represents 75% of the parcels in the proposed benefitted area who are in favor of having this road <br />paved. <br />A separate resolution will need to be adopted to hold a Public Hearing to discuss the advisability, cost <br />and amount of the assessment against each property owner. <br />This Public Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at 9:05 A.M. in the County <br />Commission Chambers. <br />An assessment roll and plat has been prepared and filed with the Clerk to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board: <br />1) Adopt the resolution providing for the paving and drainage improvements for the projects <br />subject to the terns outlined in the resolution. The applicable interest rate shall be established <br />by the Board of County Commissioners at the time the final assessment roll is approved. <br />2) Allocate $26,756.01 from the Petition Paving Account #1 11 -214 -541 -035. -39 -.St <br />3) Adopt a resolution setting the time and place of the Public Hearing. <br />MARCH 29 1999 <br />-51- <br />�i <br />BOOK x 08 PAGE 5 15 <br />
