Hole -in -the -Wall Island - County Right -of -Way - Letter of <br />Objection to St Johns River Water Management District Regarding <br />Application of Horse Head, La <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of March 17, 1999: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM : Terrence P. O'Brien, Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: March 17, 1999 <br />RE: County Right-of-way on Hole -in -the -Wall Island <br />The County has a 70 foot right-of-way across (west to east) Hole -in -the -Wall <br />Island. This right-of-way was part of the road bed for the Old Winter Beach Road <br />to the barrier island. <br />Horse Head, Ltd., purchaser of said Island from Lost Tree, has submitted an <br />application to St. John's River Water Management District to use the island for <br />mitigation for fill for four lots in the John's Island area. A part of the proposal is <br />to level the road bed which is in the County's 70 foot road right-of-way. <br />A letter to SJRWMD objecting to this proposed action without County approval <br />is attached for Board consideration. <br />It is recommended that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the attached <br />letter on behalf of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Chairman to sign the proposed letter to St. Johns River Water <br />Management District, as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />MARCH 23, 1999 <br />22 <br />• • <br />
