Gentile, C.E.T., Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing for the Paving & Drainage Improvements to ? Street between <br />16d Avenue and I B& Avenue, Indian River County Project #9721 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />On March 2, 1999 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 99-20 providing for <br />certain paving and drainage improvements to I° Street between 10" Avenue and 18s' Avenue. <br />A petition was received from the property owners on this road. <br />Four (4) property owners out of six (6) property signed the petition making it 67% in favor of having <br />this road paved. <br />On March 2, 1999 the Board of County Commissioners adopted another Resolution 99-21 setting <br />the date and time for a Public Hearing to discuss the advisability, cost and amount of the assessment <br />against each property owner. This hearing is scheduled for April 6, 1999. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners move to approve the assessment roll, and <br />confirming resolution with changes, if any, made after input at the April 6, 1999 Public Hearing. <br />Revised confirming resolution and assessment roll will be forwarded to Chairman of the Board for <br />signature. <br />The Assessment Roll and assessment plat are available for viewing in the Clerk to the Board of <br />County Commissioner's office. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding this matter. There being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 99-032 confirming <br />the assessment roll for certain paving and drainage <br />improvements to 14 Street between 16* Avenue and <br />18' Avenue. <br />APRIL 6, 1999 <br />-54- <br />
