Sean McGuire, P.E. , <br />Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: <br />Wabasso Causeway Beautification <br />Project No. 9623 <br />Change Order No. 1 <br />DATE: <br />April 19, 1999 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />blt/WabBeautC01 <br />This project was awarded to Arazoza Brothers Corporation on January <br />5, 1999 for $263,407.92, and the Notice -to -Proceed was issued on <br />February 17, 1999. Initiation of work was delayed while the <br />County's Park Division did the demolition work and sprayed poison <br />on the existing turf grass. This provided a credit, but requires <br />a 14 day extension. Additional credits have been offered for <br />changing the scope of the project by not removing the existing <br />grass and top soil, not tilling Emathelite into the remaining soil <br />and for substituting "Florimulch" in place of the cypress bark <br />mulch that was specified. Total of credits is ($42,218.62). <br />Additional palm trees are required to correct an error in the bid <br />tabulation form, wherein the total number of trees shown on the <br />plans exceeds the sum of the trees on the form. Other extras <br />proposed are for the installation of the shrubs, ground covers, and <br />mulch, for the addition of Terrasorb, and for the relocation of 12 <br />palm trees.
