Chandler, County Administrator <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: April 15, 1999 <br />SUBJECT: ContractModification#1 to Contractual ServicesAgreementNo.99-LM-4H-1040-01-031 Between <br />the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and Indian River County to Develop a Local <br />Mitigation Strategy (approved by the BCC on 5/19/98). <br />Contract Modification #1 to an Inter -Local Agreement between Indian River County and the <br />Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council (TCRPC) to Complete a Single, Unified County -wide <br />Local Mitigation Strategy (approved by the BCC on 7/14/98). <br />Contract Modification #1 to a Municipality Subcontract Participant in the Development of a Local <br />Mitigation Strategy for Indian River County for the following municipalities: City of Fellsmere, <br />Town of Orchid, Town of Indian River Shores, City of Sebastian and the City of Vero Beach <br />(approved by the BCC on 7/22/98). <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by the Board of <br />County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Modifications to the above referenced Agreements have become necessary due to the Department of Community <br />Affair's delay in providing data associated with model runs from The Arbiter of Storms (TAOS) computer model. <br />The TAOS computer model is needed to complete an accurate vulnerability assessment for Indian River County and <br />each of its municipalities. <br />MAY 49 1999 <br />4) 0 <br />
