r - <br />BOOK 1-03 FAGt �� <br />RE: FZARIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT GRANT APPLICATION <br />Dear Commissioner Macht: <br />The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is pleased to inform you of our Florida Inland Navigation <br />District grant application for $34,682.92. The successful award ofthis grant would allow the Sheriffs <br />Office to procure needed equipment for odsting marked patrol vessels. The Sheriffs Office shall <br />provide the 25% matching funds ($11,560.98) from the Law Enforcement Forfeiture Ttust Fund. <br />The Sheriff's Office Marine Umt currently conducts waterway patrols to ensure boating safety, <br />adherence to navigational laws, BUI ettforcement, and environmental protection of the Indian River <br />Lagoon and its endangered species. <br />The attached document must be signed by the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners in <br />order to officially apply for the grant award.
