F, <br />0 <br />BOOK PAGE <br />Lynn Walsh, North County Library Director, expressed her appreciation for moving <br />the expansion forward as they are very overcrowded and in dire need of a larger meeting <br />room. <br />Frank Coffey, 88 Cache Cay, supported the need to upgrade the library as it is one <br />of the greatest assets we have here. He questioned the lack of planning for additional <br />personnel and suggested that Indian River Community College could perhaps share a part <br />of the cost for the proposed West County Library. <br />Chairman Macht noted that IRCC will participate with computer equipment and <br />personnel. <br />Margaret Kamakaris, representing Friends ofNorthCountyLibrary, also expressed <br />appreciation for the planned expansion and noted that parking is very limited. <br />Mary Lou Kidd, 709 Wentworth, Sebastian, stated there is also a need for more <br />computers at the North County Library and it is very important that the youth of the <br />community have access to this benefit. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. There <br />being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ONMOTION by Commissioner Grin, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously <br />approved the recommendation and directed staff to <br />move the North County Library renovations to the <br />first year of the plan. <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />The Board reviewed letters of July 2, 1999: <br />JULY 69 1999 <br />-46- <br />
