We would appredate your, <br />cooperation in reducing your budget by this -amount. Baird <br />B Director <br />JAB:ad <br />cc: Jim Chandler - County Administrator <br />Jim Davis - Sheriff Department <br />Administrator Chandler noted that last fiscal year the Board had set a policy <br />recommending not utilizing sales tax for replacement vehicles, which are more appropriate <br />as an operational expense. <br />Commissioner Adams supported the improvements to the jail. which was built with <br />sales tax money, but did not agree with adding the replacement vehicles, which should be <br />a maintenance item. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding the Sheriff's Department. <br />JULY 69 1999 <br />-48- <br />• <br />
