Chairman Macht questioned the charges for expert witness fees and felt these fees are <br />an insult to the taxpayers. He asked for more details prior to approval of the payments for <br />Dr. Edward N. Willey, M.D. and Dr. Gary W. Litman, Ph.D. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved the payments to vendors of <br />court -related costs with the exception of payments to <br />EdwardN. Willey, M.D. in the amount of $1,539.86 <br />and Gary W. Litman, Ph.D. in the amount of <br />$4,006.75. <br />7.H. RIGHT-OF-WAYDEDICATIONAND CANCELLATION OF TAXES - <br />RESOLUTION 99-074 (AMERADA HESS CORPORATION- 710AVENUE & <br />8T"PLACE) AND RESOLUTION 99-075 (WINDSOR PROPERTIES -KINGS <br />HIGHWAY <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of July 22, 1999: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: LLL "'William G. Collins I I - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: July 22, 1999 <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions Accepting Right -Of -Way Dedications and Cancelling <br />Taxes on Acquired Property <br />Resolutions have been prepared for the purpose of accepting right-of-way <br />dedications and cancelling any delinquent or current taxes which may exist on <br />the following properties acquired by Indian River County for public purpose: <br />Right-of-way adjacent to the intersection of 7th Avenue and 8th Place <br />dedicated by Amerada Hess Corporation, a Delaware corporation, which <br />property is fully described in that Warranty Deed recorded in Official <br />Record Book 1274, Page 1508, Public Records of Indian River County, <br />Florida. <br />2. King's Highway right-of-way dedicated by Windsor Properties, a Florida <br />general partnership, which property is fully described in that Special <br />Warranty Deed recorded in Official Record book 1283, Page 0344, Public <br />Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolutions accepting the right-of-way dedications and cancelling certain taxes <br />upon publicly owned lands, and the Clerk to send a certified copy of each <br />Resolution to the Tax Collector so that any delinquent or current taxes can be <br />cancelled. <br />AUGUST 3, 1999 <br />-15- 600K PAGE , <br />
