August 17, 1999 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25" Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Tuesday, August 17, 1999. Present were Kenneth R Macht, Chairman, Fran B. Adams, <br />Vice Chairman; Caroline D. Ginn; Ruth Stanbridge; and John W. Tippin. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, CountyAttorney; and Patricia <br />Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />L CALL TO ORDER <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Commissioner Ginn delivered the invocation. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Ginn led the Pledge to the Flag. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Macht advised additional backup was provided for item 13.C. (now <br />13.C.1.) and requested the addition of item 13.C.2. Press Journal Editorial concerning <br />Federal Responsibility for Beach Preservation. He further advised there was a corrected <br />page 97, Exhibit `B" for item 9.A.1., Earring Point Groves Request for Abandonment of a <br />Portion of 87 h Street Right -of -Way in the Wabasso Area. <br />Administrator Chandler advised that item 9.B.2. was to be withdrawn. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously made the requested <br />changes to the agenda. <br />AUGUST 17, 1999 <br />1 <br />BOCK i'1PAGE <br />
