Chairman Macht announced the following notice of canceled meetings: Council of Public <br />Officials and Board of County Commissioners regular and budget meetings scheduled for Tuesday, <br />September 14, 1999. Also, Commissioner Carolyn Eggert's Memorial Service scheduled for <br />September 14, 1999 has been postponed until further notice. <br />Emergency Services Director Doug Wright advised that Chairman Macht and the <br />Commissioners have taken the necessary actions he had requested for which he expressed his thanks. <br />He stated that at 12:30 p.m. the National Hurricane Center had upgraded some of the information <br />on Hurricane Floyd and reduced the amount of time for preparedness, thus it was necessary to move <br />forward with emergency plans. He advised that he would start the other meeting with the local <br />representatives from the municipalities and other agencies upon adjournment of this meeting. <br />Administrator Chandler invited the Commissioners to remain for the next meeting so they <br />would be updated on all available information. <br />There being no further business, upon motion duly made and seconded, the Chairman <br />adjourned the meeting at 1:57 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />(�� �� C5�3 <br />Jeffrey K.
