PS00K. <br />U TAXDEED SALEHELD AFTER REDEMPTION OF CERTIFICATE -DEED <br />FROMHOBBERT TO COUNTY- DEED FROM COUNTY TO LEE <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of September 17, 1999: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners September 17, 1999 <br />FROM: ; (; William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />SUBJECT: Tax Deed Sale Held After Redemption of Certificate <br />The Clerk of Court has advised this office that a tax deed sale was held on <br />August 24, 1999 and a Tax Deed was issued to the highest bidder (Stephen R. <br />Hubbert and Lisa A. Hubbert) for Lot 20, Block 316, Sebastian Highlands, Unit <br />13, however prior to the tax deed sale the tax certificate had been redeemed <br />although the Clerk's Office was not informed of the redemption. <br />The Clerk's Office has notified the Hubberts of this error and the Hubberts have <br />consented to a refund of their money paid for the property, and agreed to quit- <br />claim the property back to the County so that the County, in tum, can quit -claim <br />the property back to the assessed owner (Hak S. Lee and Young S. Lee). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute the attached County Deed for recording in <br />the Public Records as soon as the Quit -Claim Deed from the Hubberts to the <br />County has been executed and delivered for recording. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />County Deed for recording in the Public Records as <br />soon as the Quit -Claim Deed from the Hubberts to <br />the County has been executed and delivered for <br />recording, as recommended by staff. <br />DEEDS WILL BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICIAL <br />RECORDS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />SEPTEMBER 28, 1999 <br />-28- <br />`I <br />
