ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously authorized staff to revise the Wabasso <br />Corridor Plan document in accordance With the <br />adopted LDR amendments and adopted Ordinance <br />99-026 amending the following Chapters ofthe Land <br />Development Regulations (LDRs); Chapter 911, <br />Zoning; Chapter 901, Definitions; Chapter 932, <br />Coastal Management (amending the Wabasso <br />Corridor Plan development requirements and private <br />observation/fishing pier regulations), as amended. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99- 2 6 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING THE <br />FOLLOWING CHAPTERS OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS <br />(LDRS): CHAPTER 911, ZONING; CHAPTER 901, DEFINITIONS; CHAPTER <br />932, COASTAL MANAGEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF <br />CONFLICTING PROVISIONS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />REGULATIONS (LDRS) BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Wabasso Corridor Plan Development Regulations <br />Section 911.18 of the LDR is hereby amended as follows: <br />(1) Purpose and intent. The overall purpose and intent of these regulations is to: <br />(a) Preserve and enhance the appearance of the Wabasso Corridor, <br />(b) Recognize and enhance the character of the Wabasso community; <br />(c) Increase property values in the Wabasso Corridor; <br />(d) Prevent the establishment of incompatible land uses and unattractive <br />developments in the corridor; <br />(e) Make the Wabasso Corridor area consistent with the following vision <br />statement: <br />SEPTEMBER 28, 1999 <br />-76- <br />
