These <br />funds will be used to prepare the design documents necessary for the State <br />and Federal permit applications to construct the proposed beach nourishment <br />projects. Cost contributions will be 50$ County ($229,400) and 50% State <br />($229,000). The professional services agreement fee <br />totals $161,140 with County obligation of $40,285 and State obligation of <br />$120,855. Funding to be from Beach Restoration Fund 128. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Professional Services Agreement <br />Amendment to DEP Contract No. 98IR1 <br />Commissioner Grin questioned and was very concerned about the schedule for <br />completion of the project for six months (on page 7 of the agreement) while in Section XVI, <br />Duration of Agreement, it states the Agreement is in effect for three years. <br />Mr. Tabar explained that the consultants have six months to prepare and submit <br />documents as completely as possible to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and then to <br />finalize the plan.
