Sean McGuire, RE✓��Y�� <br />Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Wabasso Causeway Park Improvements Project <br />FIND Waterways Assistance Program Agreement <br />DATE: October 21, 1999 <br />The Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) has selected this project to receive a grant in the <br />amount of $120,000.00. The project includes a rock revetment along the shoreline, a permanent <br />bathroom building with water and sewer services, site drainage improvements, landscaping, and low <br />level lighting on the fishing catwalks. The Florida Department of Transportation's Highway <br />Beautification Gram Council has granted $150,000.00 and the St. Johns River Water Management <br />District's Indian River Lagoon Program may provide $100,000.00. The total project cost estimate <br />is $527,066.66, ofwhich appro)dmately $157,066.66 world be required from the County as matching <br />funds or in-kind services. <br />The attached "Project Agreement" must be signed and returned to the Florida Inland Navigation <br />District in order to receive the gram. Reimbursement may be requested in installments or upon <br />completion of tint project. Ten percent (10%) of each installment payment will be retained by FIND <br />until completion of the project. <br />RFcoMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to execute the Agreement. Funding will <br />be from a blend of Revenue Sources including Florida Boating Improvement Fund and I Cent Local <br />Option Sales Tax Contingency. The Project Liaison will be G.
