ORDINANCE NO. 99- 32 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 104, PERSONNEL, <br />OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE, TO INCLUDE <br />TWO ADDITIONAL VENDORS FOR THE EMPLOYEE <br />DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Section 104.05, Deferred Compensation, which reads: <br />"Deferred compensation plans are available through ICMA Retirement <br />Corporation, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc., and Mass Mutual on an <br />optional basis to employees. This program is supplement to a retirement income <br />and it provides for a tax deferral on income contributed to the plan. For those <br />employees working under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />the Director of Personnel shall approve and administer these plans and make <br />determinations required by Section 112.51(6)(b), Florida Statutes, For those <br />employees working under the direction of a constitutional officer, each <br />constitutional officer shall designate an individual responsible for making <br />determinations as required by the aforesaid statute." <br />is amended to read as follows.- <br />"Deferred <br />ollows. <br />"Deferred compensation plans are available through ICMA Retirement <br />Corporation, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc., Mass Mutual, Hartford Life <br />Insurance Companies, and John Hancock Financial Services on an optional <br />basis to employees. For those <br />employees working under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />the Director of Personnel shall approve and administer these plans and make <br />determinations required by Section 112.215(6)(b), Florida Statutes, For those <br />employees working under the direction of a constitutional officer, each <br />constitutional officer shall designate an individual responsible for making <br />determinations as required by the aforesaid statute." <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This ordinance shall take effect upon filing with the Florida Secretary of State. <br />The ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press Journal on the 3rd day of <br />Novm .gr 1999, for a public hearing to be held on the 16t:h day of <br />November 1999, at which time it was moved for adoption by Commissioner <br />Ginn seconded by Commissioner Ti i)p i n and adopted by the <br />following vote: <br />NOVEMBER 16,1999 <br />
