CHASTE <br />MANAGER - ASS S LOJECTS <br />SUBJECT: SEBASTIAN WATER EXPANSION PHASE H B <br />RESOLUTION IV -FINAL ASSESSMENT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT Y UW 97 -11 -DS <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 15, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On September 1, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution a Number 9847, for the <br />preliminary assessment roll on the above -referenced projea Construction of the project has been completed. <br />On August 16, 1999 letters were mailed to property owner; notifying them that they could conned to the <br />system. Customer connections have now begun. We are now requesting the Board's approval of the final <br />assessment roll. (See attached Minutes and Resolution IV). <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was for an estimated cost of $1,714,277.33, which equated to $0208299 (rounded) <br />per square foot of property assessed. The final assessment, (see attached Resolution IV and the accompanying <br />assessment roll), is in the amount of $1,148,498.43, which equates to a cost of $0.139581 (rounded) per square <br />foot.
