Once adopted and approved <br />by the state, the Local Housing Assistance Plan will provide the basic framework and operating <br />procedures for the SHIP program for FY2000-2001, FY 2001-2002, and FY 2002-2003. This <br />includes SHIP program strategy qualification requirements and other provisions . <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />With respect to the new 3 year Local Housing Assistance Plan, the Board of County Commissioners <br />has three alternatives. These are: <br />► adopt the new plan <br />► adopt the new plan with changes <br />► reject the new plan <br />Staff supports either of the first two alternatives. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the attached resolution approving <br />the new Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Plan, authorize the chairman to sign the <br />certification page of the plan, and direct staff to submit two copies of the new plan to the Florida <br />Housing Finance Corporation for its review and approval. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board, by a 4-0 <br />vote (Commissioner Adams absent) unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to sign the certification <br />page of the Plan; directed staff to submit 2 copies of <br />the new Plan to the Florida Housing Finance <br />Corporation for its review and approval;. and <br />adopted Resolution 99-131 approving the County's <br />Local Housing Assistance Plan for FY 2000-2001, <br />2001-2002, and 2002-2003 <br />CERTIFICATION AND LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE <br />PLAN ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK — <br />TO THE BOARD <br />DECEMBER 14, 1999 <br />
