UNIT <br />FROM: <br />Joseph A. Baird <br />(? <br />OMB Director <br />Presently the Sheriffs Office has an approved Multi -Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) <br />Grant from the Department of Community Affairs in the amount of $109,160. The Department <br />of Community Affairs has offered to increase the M.A.C.E. Grant amount by $30,364.50, which <br />will require the Sheriff's Office to match the additional 25% at a cost of $10,121.50, making the <br />total grant $149,646.00. The Sheriff's Office has agreed to find the match in their existing <br />budget. <br />� • I�I��JI �_ y • <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the M.A.C.E. Grant and <br />attached Budget Amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Grin, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board, by a 4-0 <br />vote (Commissioner Adams absent) unanimously <br />approved the M.A.C.E. grant and Budget <br />Amendment #2, as recommended by staff. <br />PROJECT BUDGET NARRATIVE AND SCHEDULE ARE ON <br />FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />DECEMBER 14, 1999 <br />-28- <br />
