The property was acquired for delinquent taxes in the <br />1970's. Presently, it is a single-family lot (60'x100'). The value of the lot as carried on the <br />current tax role is S4,340. <br />I received a couple of inquiries relative to the availability of purchasing the property I have <br />circulated a notice to all Departments for their comment if there was any need for the property <br />internally. There is no need expressed from any department with the county. Should the Board <br />declare the lot surplus and authorize the appropriate disposal of the property, a notice will be sent <br />to numerous housing agencies as required under the Housing Element of the Comprehensive <br />Plan and to surrounding property owners. <br />RECOMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the property be declared surplus, and staff be authorized to solicit the <br />disposal of the property through a sealed bid process with a bid minimum established at 54,400. <br />Upon receipt of all bids, the bids will brought back to the Board for award of sale. <br />February 1, 2000 <br />22 <br />• • <br />
