Kafer, Jr., P.E., County Engin <br />SUBJECT: Dale Wimbrow Park Improvements - IRC Pr• ect No. 9625B - Final Pay <br />Request, Change Order No. 2 and Release of etainage <br />DATE: January 12, 2000 <br />DFSCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County executed the Construction Contract for Dale Wimbrow Park Improvements on <br />July 6, 1999. The original contract was $258,349.00. One (1) previous Change Order totaling (- <br />)$1,950.60 changed the total contract amount to $256,398.40. <br />The Final Change Order, Change Order No. 2 is being presented with the Final Pay Request, <br />increases the current contract by $2,184.18 for a total contract price of $258,582.58. <br />The contractor, Summit Construction Management, Inc., has received $230,758.56 to date and is <br />requesting the release of retainage for a final payment- of $27,824.02. The Contractor has submitted <br />a signed Final Payment Affidavit. A payment bond is in effect for this contract. <br />AI TERNATNES AND ANAL YSIS <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the final pay request in the amount of $27,824.02, which is the retainage and Change Order <br />No. 2 and authorize the Chairman to execute Change Order No. 2.. <br />Altemative No. 2 <br />Deny the final pay request and Change Order No. 2. <br />RECOMMFNDATIONS <br />Staff recommends approval of Altemative No. 1.
