BOOT, <br />U Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 006 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of February 8, 2000: <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: February 8, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 006 <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Brown\ <br />Budget Manager <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />Indian River County Libraries have received donations and grants totaling $16,723. <br />The attached entry appropriates funding. <br />2. On February 8, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved an amendment to the <br />Sheriffs budget for out -of -county inmate revenue. The attached entry appropriates <br />the $60,905 received by the Sheriffs Department for October 1999. <br />3. The Board of Commissioners approved paying legal costs associated with obtaining <br />shared title forthe Carson Platt property. The attached entry appropriates funding for <br />General Fund contingencies. <br />4. On February 8, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved paying water connection <br />charges for County owned property that is leased to the Children's Home Society. <br />Funding is provided by General Fund contingencies. <br />5. Computer Services needs to purchase servers and other computer equipment for <br />upgrading the County's network system. Funding in the amount of $4,500 is provided <br />by General Fund contingencies. <br />6. On September 21, 1999, the Board of Commissioners approved a FY 1999/2000 <br />Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning Grant for $10,857. The attached entry <br />appropriates these funds. <br />7. Indian River County received a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection for boat launching facilities in the amount of $30,000.
