COUNTY ATTORNEY - CONSIDERATION OF TABLES OF <br />ORGANIZATION AND FUNCTIONS FOR THE OFFICE OF THE <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of February 8, 2000: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM Terrence P. O'Brien, Acting County Attorney <br />DATE: February 8, 2000 <br />RE: Consideration of Tables of Organization and Functions <br />for the Office of the County Attorney <br />1. CURRENT ORGANIZATION <br />The Office of the County Attorney consists of the following positions: <br />County Attorney - hired by the BCC <br />Deputy County Attorney - hired by the County Attorney <br />Assistant County Attorney - hired by the County Attorney <br />2 Legal Assistants - hired by the County Attorney <br />1 Legal Secretary - hired by the County Attorney <br />The office provides legal services to the Board and staff. <br />2. ORGANIZATION DOWNSIZING THE OFFICE: <br />First, I do not think it is feasible to reduce the current number of legal <br />assistants/secretaries.
