OF CAL. - 90'HAVENUE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY) <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of January 28, 2000: <br />TO: Board of Commissioners <br />FROM: a R. Keller, CLA <br />Legal Assistant - County Attorney's Office <br />DATE: January 28, 2000 <br />RE: Recently Acquired Property - Tax Cancellation <br />The County recently acquired some property and, pursuant to Section 196.28, <br />Florida Statutes, the Board may cancel and discharge any taxes owed on it as <br />long as it was acquired for public purpose. Such cancellation must be done <br />by resolution of the Board, with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tax <br />Collector (along with copies sent to the Property Appraiser and Fixed Assets). <br />Reauested Action: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the attached <br />resolution which ®mods taxes upon the land that the County recently acquired. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Grin, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 2000-012 <br />cancelling certain delinquent taxes upon publicly <br />owned lands, pursuant to Section 196.28, Florida <br />Statutes (Union Oil Co. of Cal. - 90' Avenue Right - <br />of -Way). <br />February 22, 2000 <br />-18- <br />• 0 <br />
