COFFEY - <br />PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />MAIN LIBRARY <br />The Board reviewed a letter of February 16, 2000: <br />, <br />is ."Mr. <br />James ChandlerCounty <br />Administrator <br />C3M <br />JFebrurDear <br />Mr. Chandler,: <br />�'.1� <br />This is a request that I be put on the County Commissioners' agenda ( under <br />"Public Discussion Items" ) for the February 22, 2000 meeting. <br />I would like the opportunity to comment on the proposed addition to the Main <br />Library in Vero Beach. <br />The attached back-up material is a copy of a report "Suggested Design Criteria <br />to be considered in the Expansion of the Indian River County Main Library " <br />(without pictures), which was developed with the approval of Mary Powell, <br />Library Director. <br />Sincerely , <br />Francis M. Coffey <br />Frank Coffey, 5045 Fairways Circle, gave a brief presentation of the Suggested <br />Design Criteria To Be Considered In The Expansion Of The Indian River County Main <br />Library prepared by himself and George Gross. (CLERK'S NOTE: A complete copy of the <br />report is on file with the backup for today's meeting.) <br />W Coffey noted that the major needs are additional office and/or work space, as well <br />as floor space for shelving. He briefly covered the areas for suggested expansion including <br />the northwest comer of the building, extending the glass wall on the south side of the <br />building out to the supports, enclosing the open hallways on the 2' floor, and enclosing the <br />February 22, 2000 <br />-31- ,, <br />
