I� <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILITY S <br />SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />CORRECTING A TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR IN <br />EXHIBIT "X'— RESOLUTION NO. 99-58, CORRECTING <br />THE LINE EXTENSION CHARGES FOR WATER MAINS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On June 23, 1999, the Board adopted Resolution No. 99-58, and unbeknownst to the <br />Utility Staff, a typographical error on Page Three of Exhibit "A" to the Resolution <br />existed. The typographical error inadvertently misstated the water Line Extension <br />Charge at $6.51, rather than the $11.25 adopted on January 24, 1995 by Resolution 95- <br />16. (See attached). <br />On Wednesday, January 12, 2000, a representative of the development community <br />brought the typographical error to the attention of the Utility Staff, (see attached), and on <br />February 1, 2000, the Director of Utility Services solicited an opinion from the County <br />Attorney's office. The recommendation from the attorney's office was for the adoption <br />of Resolution No. 2000 correcting Resolution No. 99-58, Exhibit "A", and is <br />attached. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Utility Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners adopt Resolution <br />No. 2000- correcting the aforementioned typographical error. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Grin, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 2000-017 <br />correcting a typographical error in Exhibit "A" to <br />Resolution No. 1999-0587 correcting the line <br />extension charges for water mains. <br />March 14, 2000 <br />
