March 21, 2000 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25 h Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Tuesday, March 21, 2000. Present were, Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Caroline D. Ginn, Vice <br />Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht; Ruth Stanbridge; and John W. Tippin. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Terrence P. O'Brien, Acting County Attorney; <br />and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. She extended sympathy on <br />behalf of the Board of County Commissioners to Supervisor of Elections Kay Clem on the <br />death of her mother. She also wished Acting County Attorney O'Brien a happy birthday. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Rev. Roger Ball, Immanuel Church, delivered the invocation. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Tippin led the Pledge to the Flag. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Adams requested the addition of item 7.P., a resolution supporting funding <br />for additional land for the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge.
