Chairman Adams could not support the corridor going all the way to US#1 because <br />all the citizens involved had not had an opportunity to give their input. <br />Commissioner Ginn expressed concerm-about the gas station on the comer of US#1 <br />and commented that it was not a "fishing village" station. <br />Director Boling reminded the Board that the lighting problems at that gas station had <br />been addressed in the LDRs. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge questioned where the "fishing village" idea had come from, <br />and Director Boling stated it was not in the Corridor Plan. <br />Chairman Adams thought the idea was actually more of an "Old Florida" flavor. <br />After more discussion, Chairman Adams suggested they address the LDR amendments <br />first and explained what the group was requesting <br />APRIL 49 2000 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />approved initiating the changes to the Wabasso <br />Corridor Plan LDRs: 1(a), 1(b) and 1(c) with the <br />exception of 1(b)(2) as set out in the Memorandum; <br />agreed 1(a), 1(b) and 1(c) would apply along CR - <br />5 10 <br />R-510 east of the west shore of the Lagoon; as to the <br />Non-LDR North Barrier Island Issues, <br />CONSENSUS was reached to have staff come back <br />with further recommendations; and authorization <br />was given to set up a commercial property task <br />force. <br />-105- <br />
