DeBloi4p CP <br />Chief, Environmental Planning <br />and Code Enforcement <br />DATE: March 28, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: ALONZO SHARPE REQUEST TO SPEAK TO THE BOARD REGARDING CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTION AGAINST HIS PROPERTY AT 10385130'" AVENUE <br />It is requested that the information herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of April 4, 2000. <br />DPWRTMON AND CONDITIONS <br />Alonzo Sharpe, owner of property at 10385 130`6 Avenue, has requested to speak to the Board of County <br />Commissioners regarding code enforcement action against his property. The subject —5 acre property is <br />zoned A-1, Agriculture, in the unincorporated vicinity of Fellsmere. <br />Summary of Code Enforcement Action <br />On September 10, 1999, code enforcement staff sent Mr. Sharpe a Notice of Code Violation identifying code <br />violations on his property, summarized as follows: <br />• use of a barn structure for a rooming house (resolved) <br />• remodeling of a building without required building permits (unresolved) <br />• accumulation of junk vehicles and junk, trash, and debris (partially resolved) <br />• illegal mobile home (unresolved) <br />Since staffs issuance of the Notice of Code Violation, Mr. Sharpe's code enforcement case has been heard <br />by the County Code Enforcement Board on the following three occasions (see attached Code Board minutes): <br />Evidentiary hearing (October 25, 1999) <br />Compliance hearing (January 24, 2000) <br />Rehearing request (February 28, 2000) <br />APRIL 49 2000 <br />-83- <br />0 <br />
