Keating, AICs¢ <br />Community Development Director <br />FROM: Stan Boling, AICP <br />Planning Director <br />DATE: March 29, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: Appeal by 21s` Century Satellite Communications, Inc. of a Planning and <br />Zoning Commission Denial of an After -the -fact Request for a 110' <br />"Camouflaged" Tower in Lakewood Village Mobile Home Park <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of April 4, 2000. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Lakewood Village Mobile Home Park Tower <br />Lakewood Village Mobile Home Park is located south of 16" Street, on both sides of 90`h Avenue, <br />and is zoned RMH-8 (residential mobile home up to 8 units/acre). In 1998, an agent for 2V Century <br />Satellite Communications, Inc. constructed a 110' tower in a 315'x 393' fenced compound area <br />located in the southeastern portion of the Park (see attachment #1). The Park is owned by Lakewood <br />Village Resident Owned Association, Inc., while the tower is owned by 21' Century. <br />APRIL 49 2000 <br />-86- <br />
