I <br />BOOK FAGE 6`' <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. There <br />being none, she closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION WAS AMENDED by Commissioner <br />Tippin, SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />that the Board direct staff to (1) work with existing <br />local businesses or new businesses wishing to <br />relocate to the county regarding potential economic <br />development CDBG projects; authorize staff to <br />prepare a RFP to hire a consultant to advise staff on <br />potential projects and prepare an application and <br />administer the grant; (2) reapply for CDBG funds to <br />be used for potable water improvements in the <br />Wabasso area and authorize staff to prepare a RFP to <br />hire a consultant to prepare an application and <br />administer the grant; and (3) activate the existing <br />CDBG Advisory Task Force to review and comment <br />on any proposed CDBG applications; as <br />recommended by staff; and (4) ask staff to check <br />into the structure of the Task Force and contact Dave <br />Pearson of Habitat for Humanity and Louise <br />Hubbard of the Coalition for the Homeless regarding <br />participation on the Task Force. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motionpassed unanimously. <br />MAY 099 2000 <br />-40- <br />
