PROCLAMATION DESIGNATING MAY 26, 2000 AS INDIANRIVER <br />CHRISTIAN SCHOOL DAY <br />The following Proclamation was entered on the record. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING MAY 26, 2000 AS <br />INDIAN RIVER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL DAY <br />WHEREAS, individual grade levels at Indian River Christian School have made <br />it a class project for the year 2000 to "adopt" a County Commissioner; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Webb's and Ms. Andreu's classes have chosen to visit the <br />Board of County Commissioners at the Commission Office to learn more about how <br />their local government works; and <br />WHEREAS, while visiting the County Commission the students participated in a <br />pretend commission meeting with their classmates in the role of the Commission, held a <br />mock election to vote on ten of their `Yavorites- that included favorite book, theme park, <br />store, holiday, etc. and they were given a presentation by the Indian River County <br />Emergency Services Department on hurricanes: and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that <br />May 26, 2000 be designated as <br />IIVDL4NR1M Cff=TIANSCHOOL DAY <br />Adopted this 26" day of May, 2000 <br />JUNE 69 2000 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />BY:rQ.�,�_ c� <br />Fran B.
