TUESDAY AUGUST. _7th_1034. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River vounty, r'lorida., met at <br />the Court house in Aero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesdays August 9th, 1934, with the <br />following members <br />of <br />the Board present: J.J.P.Haamilton, vhaixman; Prank C. <br />Viekere; <br />R. E. ladge; John <br />M. <br />Knight and Edwin A. Heiseth. Also present Were ift W. <br />Frick,Sherl <br />Chas A. Mitchell, .Attorney for the board and Miles warren, Clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />A. R. Martin <br />and Mrs Myrtle .8. Englar, appeared <br />before the Board regarding Road <br />right-of-way from <br />Rim= to the South Uounty line on <br />the peninsular and requested.a <br />description of such right -of -wavy. <br />Wayne P. Bailey appeared before the Board and submitted written application for <br />position as Motorcycle officer. <br />U. Ha.sselgrove appeared before the Board regarding drainage on worth end of farm on <br />which he is residing and requested ditch 150 feet long be made one foot deeper. He was <br />referred to the Drainage District supervisors., <br />Clark a. Rice, former Sheriff appeared before the Board with copy of the audit of <br />Sheriff's office and requested the Ulerk to read the audit, which was done. Mr. mice <br />then explained fully all discrepancies as alleged in the Auditor's report. <br />-Report was received by the Uommissione.rs of all officers of the Uounty as audited, <br />and same was careful7,y checked over and ordered filed as a part of the public records <br />of the Uo unty . <br />Rev. Father pullaley appeared before the Board regarding the condition of Mr & Ers <br />Pat Cleary, Fellemere. it was ordered that they be placed on the pauper list to receive <br />the sum of 412.00 per month instead of 46.00 as heretofore granted. <br />it was ordered that the following persons be stricken from the pauper list: <br />Sam -Redden, negro , Pelle mere-, now on PERA <br />Co H. hatch, Sebastian, removed. <br />it was ordered that Sam Allen, Sebastian be placed on the pauper list to receive the <br />sum of X6.00 per month until the further orders of this Board. <br />M. Mattmueller, appeared before the hoard and protested county trucks being used on <br />PEVA projects. it was ordered that all County tracks be withdrawn from all FSR, projects <br />In the County. <br />Notary Public bond of J. A. Barms, in the sum of ;p5OO.00 with American SWrety Uo., <br />a corporation as surety, was approved. <br />Notary Public bond of Anne Eckhoff , in the sum of 9500.00 with American Surety Uo <br />a corporation as surety, Vas approvede <br />tire. willfred Dubuque appeared before the Board requesting aid for her son. No <br />action was taken. <br />it was ordered that the Attorneys for the Board defend the mand€umus action of A.L. <br />Houston -vs- Dave Shol-tz, as Governor, et als and a fee of 0250.00 be set and approved, <br />for all fees in connection therewith. Same was ordered paid from the general Revenue <br />Fund. <br />the Ulerk read a letter from Ron V. V. Knott 0 Uounty'Treasurer ex -officio, with <br />respect to the cancellation of bonds purchased by the County, through the hoard of <br />Administration with gars taxa, under the provisions of Rouse trill Ho. 30, acts of the 1934 <br />Legislature. .after carefully considering the same, and the law applicable thereto, it <br />was ordered that the Clerk be instructed to advise.mr. Knott that in the opinion of this <br />Board the best interests of the County will be swerved by not cancelling such bonds at <br />this time. I <br />1 <br />I <br />1 <br />1 <br />
