Callahan, SRA, Right -of -Way <br />SUBJECT: Right -of -Way Acquisition <br />16" Street between 66" and 74" Avenues <br />Street Paving and Drainage Improvements/Project No. 9920 <br />Donald E. Smith, Trustee <br />DATE: June 21, 2000 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />An additional 70 feet (70') of right-of-way is needed along the north side of 16" Street between <br />66' and 74" Avenues to accommodate a mad improvement (paving and drainage) project. The <br />owner has executed a contract at a negotiated price of $25,000 per acre for this A -I zoned land, <br />which has a Land Use designation of M-1, 8 -units per acre. This price per acre is comparable to <br />other similar M-1 designated land use parcels the County has purchased based upon appraisals or <br />evaluations. <br />The contract price is $13,225.00 based upon a total of 0.529 acres. There are no appraisal or <br />attorneys fees. Other terms and conditions in the contract are as follows: <br />a) The $13,225.00 will be net to the seller. There will be no expenses taken from the contract <br />price, <br />b) There will be no assessments levied against the property for the completion of this project. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the $13,225.00 purchase <br />and authorize the Chairman to execute the contract. <br />Funding will be from Account # 315-214-541-066.12. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board, <br />by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Macht absent) <br />unanimously approved the $13,225 purchase and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the contract, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />-148- <br />BK 114 PG 164 <br />
