• <br />Chairman Adams then questioned the County's restrictions on canceling the leases <br />and asked County Attorney Bangel to check the contracts for a one-year right to cancel the <br />lease when dealing with a third party with whom we have no past history. <br />• <br />Commissioner Macht suggested that the matter be deferred for one week to give staff <br />time to supply more information. <br />CONSENSUS was reached to defer the item for one week. <br />7.K. MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT #016 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of July 5, 2000: <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: July 5, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 016 <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Baird <br />Assistant County Administrator: <br />FROM: Jason E. Brown <br />Budget Manager <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. In order to facilitate the permitting process, Engineering needs to change the vacant <br />Civil Engineer position to a Permitting Manager. The attached entry accounts for the <br />necessary adjustments. Funding is from Transportation Fund contingencies. <br />2. The Self Insurance Fund has experienced higher revenues and expenses than <br />anticipated.
