RESOLUTION NO. 2000-171 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBSTITUTION OF <br />FORM ENTITLED "STREET LIGHTING <br />AGREEMENT" FOR ADDING, MODIFYING OR <br />DELETING SERVICE FROM THE FPL MASTER <br />STREET LIGHTING AGREEMENT AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OR <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS HIS DESIGNEE <br />TO EXECUTE SUCH FORM ON BEHALF OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County entered into a Master Street Lighting <br />Agreement with Florida Power & Light Company entitled "Conservation Lighting <br />Conversion Agreement" dated November 18, 1981 which incorporates an earlier <br />agreement dated January 6, 1965; and <br />WHEREAS, the Conservation Lighting Conversion Agreement <br />provides electrical energy necessary for the operation of street lighting systems by <br />FPL within Indian River County, and such other services including installation and <br />removal and maintenance of street lighting systems; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement provides for a simplified method of <br />addition, modification, deletion and/or replacement of street lighting systems; and <br />WHEREAS, the form for notifying FPL of an addition, modification or <br />deletion to service has been changed by FPL; and <br />WHEREAS, the new form has been filed with the Public Service <br />Commission by FPL; and <br />WHEREAS, the substitution of the form for notifying Florida Power & <br />Light Company of an addition, modification or deletion to service pursuant to the <br />Conservation Lighting Conversion Agreement dated November 18, 1981 and earlier <br />agreement dated January 6, 1965 requires approval by the Board of County <br />Commisioners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: <br />1. The form entitled °Street Lighting Agreement" to be used for <br />notifying Florida Power & Light of an addition, modification or deletion to service is <br />JULY 119 2000 <br />-42- BK 114 PG 0 5 8 <br />
