PUBLIC HEARING - ORDINANCE 2000-020 <br />ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE <br />DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of June 21, 2000: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: VlfWilliam G. Collins II, Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: June 21, 2000 <br />RE: Ordinance Prohibiting Discharge of Firearms across Unpaved <br />Roads <br />At the request of the Board at an earlier meeting, Acting County Attorney O'Brien <br />prepared and published a Notice of Public Hearing to consider adoption of an <br />ordinance on the above topic. <br />The proposed ordinance extends the state law prohibition against shooting <br />across paved roads to unpaved roads in the county. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. There being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Ordinance 2000-020 <br />establishing regulations concerning the discharge of <br />firearms. <br />JULY 119 2000 <br />-s7- <br />11 <br />BK 1 14 PG 07 3 <br />
