ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board adopted by a 4-1 vote (Vice <br />Chairman Ginn opposed) Resolution No. 2000-100 establishing <br />its intent to reimburse certain project costs incurred with <br />proceeds of future tax-exempt financing, providing certain other <br />matters in connection therewith; and providing an effective date. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-100 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />ESTABLISHING ITS INTENT TO REIMBURSE CERTAIN <br />PROJECT COSTS INCURRED WITH PROCEEDS OF FUTURE <br />TAX-EXEMPT FINANCING; PROVIDING CERTAIN OTHER <br />MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida (the <br />"Issuer") has determined that the need exists to acquire lands known as Dodgertown and to cause to <br />be constructed certain improvements thereon related to spring training facilities to be utilized therafter <br />by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Inc. ("Dodgers"); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: - <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY. This Resolution (hereinafter called the "Resolution") is <br />adopted pursuant to the provisions of the Florida Constitution, Chapter 125, Florida Statutes, and <br />other applicable provisions of law. <br />SECTION 2. DECLARATION OF INTENT. The Issuer hereby expresses its intention to <br />be reimbursed from proceeds of a future tax-exempt financing for the acquisition of certain lands <br />known as Dodgertown and the costs of construction, expanding and improving facilities which will <br />constitute a spring training facility to be used by the Dodgers (the "Project").
