Chairman Adams read the title of the proposed resolution and called for a motion. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 2000-098 appointing Robert C. Reid Special <br />County Attorney for the purpose of coordinating, approving, and <br />noting contract documents presented to the Board of County <br />Commissioners in connection with the purchase, leaseback, <br />improvement, and development of Dodgertown. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 098 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, APPOINTING ROBERT C. REID SPECIAL <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />COORDINATING, APPROVING, AND NOTING <br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS PRESENTED TO THE BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE PURCHASE, LEASEBACK, IMPROVEMENT, AND <br />DEVELOPMENT OF DODGERTOWN. <br />WHEREAS, Section 102.10(4) of the Indian River County Code (Ordinance 90- <br />19) provides that "[a]ll contract documents shall be coordinated with and noted by the <br />county attorney and county administrator before presentation to commission," and <br />Section 105.02, of the Indian River County Code (Ordinance 90-24), requires the <br />county attorney's approval as to form and legal sufficiency for certain purchasing <br />contracts in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000); and <br />WHEREAS, the services of Attorney Robert C. Reid have been engaged to <br />prepare documents and conduct negotiations in connection with the purchase, <br />leaseback, improvement, and development of property known as Dodgertown, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Robert C. Reid is <br />hereby appointed special county attorney for the purpose of coordinating, approving, <br />September 7, 2000 <br />32 <br />
